The Nara Prefecture Regional Interpreter Guides are knowledgeable individuals who have received training and registration from the Prefectural government. They possess in-depth knowledge of the region's history, geography, and culture.

 

These guides offer paid interpretation and guiding services, using foreign languages to assist foreign visitors in Nara Prefecture. By utilizing their services, visitors can have a more fulfilling and enjoyable experience, safe in the knowledge that their guide is fully accredited, professional and able to offer their full support. 

How it Works

NARA Visitor Center & Inn will work as an intermediary to help facilitate a fast and smooth transaction.

Step by Step Process

We aim to introduce you to as many guides as possible that suit your needs. You are then free to directly contact as many or as few guides as you and iron out the details.

PAID SERVICE

Nara Prefecture Licensed Guides only accept paid guide requests.

SCHEDULE

We ask that you submit your guide request at least

ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE

of the desired guide date. However, if you have an immediate request for a guide, we will try to expedite the process.

CONFIRMATION

After receiving your request, you will receive a confirmation email (please check your spam folder).

Terms and Conditions

The Nara Prefecture Interpreter Guide Center serves to support the activities of regional interpreter guides by providing information on request details and availability to both the requesting party and the interpreter guide. Please note that the center does not engage in mediation or intermediary services after providing the information. Additionally, Nara Prefecture assumes no responsibility and is not involved in any complaints, disputes, or damages arising from the activities conducted through the center. Nara Prefecture has no obligation to compensate for any damages incurred by interpreter guides or third parties resulting from their activities.

We pass on the inquiry form to all relevant guides. they will then check to see if their skills and schedules fit your needs.

Guides that are available for your dates will contact us. We will then send you an email with all the guides available for your dates and links to their profiles.

You are then free to contact as many or as few guides as you like. You can arrange the specifics (eg, payment and conditions) of your tour directly with the guides.

Guidelines and procedures after submitting your guide request:

・Nara Prefecture Licensed Guides only accept paid guide requests.

・We request that you submit your guide request at least one week in advance of the desired guide date. However, if you have an immediate request for a guide, we will try to expedite the process. 

・After receiving your request, you will receive a confirmation email (please check your spam folder). 

・If you do not receive any communication from us within this timeframe, kindly contact us directly at info@sarusawa.nara.jp 

We will consult with the regional interpreter guides and provide you with information about available guides, including their names, contact information, and a profile introduction webpage within 5 business days. If you decide to select a guide, please inform them directly about their acceptance of the request.

For detailed information regarding fees, conditions, and other specifics, please establish direct contact with the selected guide after we provide you with the relevant information.

Regarding any issues or troubles that may arise after the decision has been made:

 

The Nara Prefecture Regional Interpreter Guide Center (NARA Visitor Center & Inn) has been established to support the activities of regional interpreter guides by providing information to both the requesters and the guides regarding request details and availability. Please be aware that have not, do not and will not engage in any mediation or intermediation after information has been provided between you and the guides.

Furthermore, the Nara Prefecture bears no responsibility for any complaints, disputes, or damages arising from the activities conducted through the center. This includes any damages incurred by the regional interpreter guides or third parties. Neither Nara Prefecture or NARA Visitor Center & Inn is involved in such matters and is not obligated to compensate for any damages.

We will always do out best to provide the best experience possible for all parties, but please keep these points in mind and use our services accordingly.
